This is what grassroots community organizing looks like!
On Saturday, May 11th, AROC, ALC, CAIR, MLFA and SEIU Local 87 organized a Yemeni community meeting in San Francisco in response to a call by the community. They came together to address their rights as residents of the US at the U.S. embassy in Sana’a in relation to recent incidents of harassment and intimidation. In this picture AROC’s very talented Immigration attorney, Amria Ahmed, is leading a bilingual workshop on civil rights.
