After five years of hard work and true dedication, our Program Director, Lily Haskell, will be leaving AROC in the late Summer (Sept 2012). No words can truly express our appreciation for Lily’s dedication to the work, which has left a lasting impact on our lives. Lily has been more than just a co-worker, she is family. We have grown together experiencing ups and downs in our organizing and personal lives. We wish her new found success wherever life takes her.
Over the next few months, we will be communicating more with our many partners about this transition, but please don’t hesitate to call AROC if you have questions for Lily or others in our Collective.
AROC will be hiring for an Executive Director position. The position description and qualifications are below. Please consider applying or helping us to find appropriate and amazing applicants by forwarding this announcement.
We would like to appreciate all the people who have made AROC’s work a success in the past years – especially our members, past Collective, allies, volunteers, and donors/funders. Over the last five years we have been privileged to grow from one staff member and a half-time lawyer to our current five staff members. We have established a membership base, built an immigration services program, organized political campaigns, and started a youth program. While growing our staff and programs, we have maintained our Collective leadership structure with all staff and volunteer Collective members participating jointly in leadership decisions. We look forward to continuing to work together in our shared struggles for justice.
Please help us find an Executive Director to join AROC’s team!
